LIBERTY.

How do you define it? How do you measure it? What does that word mean to you? Liberty is potentially the greatest and most sought after thing in the world—for individuals, for nations, for religions. We all want it. We all pursue it. We all are willing to fight mightily for it. There's a 305-foot-tall, heavily oxidized copper statue standing on an island at the tip of lower Manhattan, dedicated to the honor and preservation of liberty. Yet, on any given day, that can seem like little more than a showpiece, representative of something long since forgotten. What is liberty and who's entitled to it? Is liberty for some the same as liberty for others? Who decides where one person's liberty ends and another's begins? So many questions. So many things for each of us to consider, as we continue to attempt to find our way in this world. Let freedom ring, indeed, and let the conversation begin.
