Sometimes they say "Welcome to the neighborhood." We're greeting you just the same, only putting a modern-day spin on it. We're here to welcome you to The Brotherhood. The word "brotherhood" conveys some level of connection. That holds true. Beyond that, this brotherhood is a bit unconventional. This brotherhood is made up of a group of like-minded individuals committed to sharing their talents, experiences, and ideas for the greater good. Men and women. Fathers and mothers. Sons and daughters. Brothers and sisters. City and country. Coastal and central. Nikon and Canon. Mac and PC. AC and DC. Dark and light. Short and tall. That's how we roll.
The one thing that seems to connect us maybe more than anything else is our desire to exist without caveats or limitations, and to be surrounded by other people who get this and perhaps, too, quietly long for this. No boxes. No preconceived notions.
Left to their own devices, the media will control the narrative. So we've arrived at the conclusion that the best way to combat that is to control the narrative yourself by controlling the media. Or creating a media outlet of your own. And thus, our Brotherhood of Awesome was born.
We love and respect one another and we are now committed to sharing our voices. Collectively, they are some fairly sharp, witty, informed, intelligent, curious, positive voices. They are voices that can be heard in our writing, in our speaking, in our creating, and we intend to use them for good as often as we can, to do our part to ensure that future generations understand that, while we may appear different from one another, we are otherwise the same.
Simply put, we're here to learn and grow, to teach and inspire, to mentor and welcome, to share and shed light, to listen and respect, and, wherever possible, wherever welcomed, to help others do the same. And to us, all of that is awesome.
